If you are planning a Fall wedding, firstly, Congratulations! Fall weddings are so beautiful to photograph with brides opting for rich colors to compliment the cooler weather, the vibrant changing of the leaves and the smell of apple cider in the air.
While Chad is out capturing the beautiful brides, you will find me browsing through bridal magazines, oohing and ahhing over the spectacular gowns for both the bride and her bridesmaids, AND, as I have the absolute honor of being a bridesmaid in San Diego this Fall, I could not be having more fun right now!
Fall colors are elegant: Deep red, teal, violet, mocha and sage all making regular appearances on the runways and thanks to my very 'trendy' bride-to-be friend, I will be wearing a tea-length LAPIS (think dark violet/blue) strapless dress, while sipping wine at a local San Diego winery...now I just need a tan!
I love the 2010 trends calling for long wave or loosely pinned back romantic hair styles with glamourous hair pins, brooches and ornaments to compliment.
It feels like the 'Golden Age' is making it's way back and I could not be happier to see elegance, glamour and feminine wedding elements again, and, what bride doesn't want to feel like she is a glamourous movie starlet!
And as for photography- 'ah my passion'. Posed candids, the photo-journalistic style capturing the day's events as they happen (a story), naturally. And, while Grandma and Grandpa's wedding album with the pink ruffles and gold rimmed frames might have been 'all that' back then, today it's about sleek, modern lined albums with crystal clear photographs on exceptional print stock. But, if ruffles and gold rims you want?
The countdown to Fall begins!
Trudi & Chad
